Joanna Benson – Researcher
Before undertaking research work over the last two years Joanna was the bursar for a small school. Duties included office management and administrative support to all staff and students and reporting to Governors meetings in addition to being the first point of contact for all parents for information and support.
Joanna is an experienced focus group facilitator.
In addition to the arrangement and facilitation of focus groups Joanna has been responsible for arranging face to face interviews, arranging and conducting both telephone and face to face ‘case study’ interviews and undertaking interview write-ups.
Recent work undertaken on behalf of Local economy Solutions includes an evaluation project for Plymouth City Council involving a number of focus groups with different groups of residents, stakeholder interviews and individual ‘case study’ interviews with residents.
Rae Stathearn
Rae is the LES Company Secretary and is responsible for all technical, accounting and administrative support for LES. Rae has worked with the company for over seven years.
Rae undertakes a range of IT technical support tasks on behalf of LES and has developed considerable expertise in the use of software utilised by the company as part of its day to day operations (Access, SNAP, Sage)
Rae also has responsibility for all day-to-day accounting, the production of annual accounts up to trial balance and complying with all statutory requirements. Rae also has responsibility for all administration associated with the business.
Qualifications include A.A.T (Accounting Technician) and she has completed Microsoft courses including Access database, Excel spreadsheet to advanced level, PowerPoint presentations, Front-Page web design, Windows NT Administration and Unix administration. Rae has recently been certified as a PRINCE 2 practitioner.
Becky Marley: BA (Hons) English
Becky has a BA honours degree from Lancaster University. She has wide ranging administrative experience in both the public and private sector and has supported LES on a number of projects, including recent work in relation to the Cabinet Office GoldStar programme and an extensive programme of work undertaken on behalf of Asset Skills. Responsibilities have related primarily to general administration, but tasks undertaken on behalf of LES have also included arranging face to face and telephone interviews and interview write-ups.
